Lichtfenster (Hommage à Albers)

Heinz Mack

Lichtfenster (Light Window), is inscribed on the reverse 'Hommage à Albers', and is Mack's tribute to the Bauhaus professor Josef Albers, creator of the famed Homage to the Square series. Created with light-reflecting, mirrored aluminium tape the work is in constant movement, ordering the reflections of the passing world to a series of gradiated squares.
