LUCIAN FREUD ETCHINGS

This exhibition presents a survey of 20 years of Freud's prints. Featuring some of his most important and interesting work in the medium.

Freud has a mastery of etching which can be seen in each of his prints, his varying applications of the technique always appropriate to the subject. With a subtle fine line Freud can capture all the nuances of a fleshy naked body and he can etch and ink an entire plate with such virtuosity that not a vein on a leaf is missed in a garden.

Freud's etchings have been the subject of many museum exhibitions and can be found in numerous public and private collections around the world.
