ZOO PORTFOLIO 2005

Published in collaboration with ARCHEUS

Curated by David Thorp

After only one year the Zoo Art Fair has established itself as the forum for emerging contemporary art talent in the UK. Taking place at the time of year when London is buzzing with international interest, the non-profit, sponsored fair showcases and supports some of the most exciting new project spaces, galleries, curatorial groups and publications. The fair offers visitors the chance to identify the next generation of artists that will become world-class players and help maintain the UK's position as one of the most influential and cosmopolitan countries for art today.

The ZOO Portfolio is the result of a collaboration between the Zoo Art Fair and major sponsors Archeus. Selected by one of London's most respected curators, the edition of 50 boxed sets brings together inventive and unusual works by 11 artists who are already making a difference to the art scene. The multiples include etchings, prints, CDs and sound pieces, 3-D works, project based pieces, an embroidered drawing and a gold necklace. All the works have been produced over the summer of 2005. The Portfolio presents a survey of cutting-edge talent for collectors and the opportunity to invest in the work of future stars.
