Archeus specialises in British and International Contemporary Art, with an emphasis on established artists who have genuine influence - "blue chip" artists.

Now acting on a by appointment basis, for many years Archeus' gallery in London's West End displayed regular exhibitions of museum-quality work by important British Post-War artists such as William Scott, and also offered an opportunity for visitors to view international works that were difficult to see in this country. Surveys of new Japanese, Chinese and Korean art were highlights, as were the Dan Flavin and Minimalism shows.

Archeus continues to be active in these fields, and unlike many galleries Archeus holds a permanent stock of over one-thousand works by the artists in which it deals - an appointment can be made upon request to see works in our London collection. The gallery director is Brian Balfour-Oatts, an art dealer with over 20 years experience in 20thC Art who is also a keen collector of new work by emerging artists.
